Our design and construction process is approached in a holistic manner. It is our belief that a well designed landscape is best achieved when it has been created in conjunction with the design of the house, or other built structures. Just as a fine tailor will always construct a suit only after both the trousers and jacket have been designed, we believe the house and garden should also be suited to each other at the planning stage. This approach ensures a continuous design flow throughout the property, thus creating a sense of harmony between the various components of the environment, whatever the design style may be.

Design Process:
We begin the design process by gaining an understanding of our clients and what they hope to achieve; their wants and needs for the new garden, as well as an insight into their lifestyles. Before our first consultation, we ask that our clients complete a brief Enquiry Form, which will form the basis of our discussions.
The form may be downloaded here or we can post it to you upon request.

1st Consultation:
During our initial visit, we will assess the site, discuss with you what you hope to achieve for your garden, any site issues including council regulations & neighbouring properties & any other issues that may arise. Documentation such as site plans and house footprints which can be provided would be beneficial.

A written quote will be sent to you before any work can commence. Once approval is given, we will proceed to design.

Concept plan :
Based on the information we have gathered, we will create a concept plan which includes the overall design layout, showing hard landscaping materials and thematic plantings (i.e. the plant forms: deciduous, evergreen, tall tree, small tree, shrubs; groundcovers, any feature trees may be specified). Descriptions of any feature items in the landscape may be detailed here. Construction details, irrigation & garden lighting will not normally be included at this stage.

2nd Consultation :
We will meet up again to discuss the concept plan and discuss any refinement that may be required.

Final Concept Plan:
The final concept plan, incorporating the previous discussions, will be presented to you. From here, you may wish to proceed with the detailed design plan.

Detailed Design Plan:
This will include:
-A Planting Schedule, with plant details such as names & quantities. Plants will be selected for their suitability to the site conditions as well as their aesthetics. Low maintenance and drought tolerance are important factors we consider in our plant selections.
-Details of hard landscaping surfaces & structures, including material specifications, and any necessary detailed construction drawings.
-Any other details as required.

The detailed design plan will be presented to you, and a quote for the construction of the landscape will be provided.
